I was blessed to be within three feet of Blessed Mother Teresa. I am strengthened by her words, "We must see Jesus in the distressing disguise of the poor." When I meet disabled people who refuse to use a cane or assistive device, I suggest that they let a handicapped Jesus be within them. When people offer to assist them, it helps to let a helper help the disabled Jesus within them. After a good deed, offer a "God bless you." When using my modified Blessed Mother Teresa imaging, the person is more accepting of their plight, and enjoy making it an act of kindness.
I am a member of the Missionaries of Charity's Suffering Servants. My pain is never wasted. I offer my pain, my joys and sorrows for a Missionary of Charity nun, It's nice to know that my pain can be a grace!
