We must learn not only the silence of the mouth but also the silence of the heart. The moment Jesus came to Mary and He became flesh in her, she didn’t go out to speak; she didn’t even tell St. Joseph. But she, knowing her child was there in her heart, wanted to share that silence of prayer—not to speak about it.
